FAQ

Sessions are a full 60-minutes. Some clients like to meet weekly, others twice a month. We work with a schedule that fits your needs.
Please email me to schedule a free 20-minute consultation to see if we are a good fit.
For interested clients, I take your birth information and, over time, we review parts of your chart that are supportive to helping your understand the challenges you are facing, the timing of events, and it may offer insight into different remedies that would be helpful. There is no extra charge for this.
Some therapy clients may not be interested in this, and it doesn't need to be a part of our work together.
For individuals that are not therapy clients and are interested in a reading only, please fill out the form below to contact me.
I do not accept insurance directly, but if your plan has out-of-network benefits I am happy to provide you a monthly superbill and complete any necessary forms for you to be reimbursed for sessions.
If you would like to do this, I suggest contacting your insurance company and asking:
1) Do they have out-of-network benefits for mental health care?
2) Is there a deductible for out of network services?
3) What percentage of the session cost will be reimbursed?
4) What paperwork do they require?
I have opted to be out-of-network so you and I have autonomy over your sessions, and not an insurance company. Too often insurance carriers dictate how many sessions you are allowed to have, and since I work with many clients with complex trauma, sometimes we need more than the standard yearly visits allowed.
Insurance companies also require a therapist to give a mental health diagnosis after the first session, and I like to get to know you before making that type of determination.
I offer integrative and holistic mental health care, which is a unique skill set, and are services above and beyond what health insurance plans would cover. Insurance also does not cover EMDR, which is a well researched modality that assists with trauma treatment.
I do understand that therapy costs can add up, and it can feel like a sacrifice at the outset of therapy when you are unsure of the result. The time and resources you set aside for your mental health is an investment in your well-being. The regulation you gain, the skills learned, and the insights you develop will have positive impacts for the rest of your life, so I encourage you to try a few sessions and decide if it is right for you.
This varies for each client, and depends a great deal on what your challenges and goals are. I prefer to start with weekly visits, so we can get to know each other and begin working on your goals.
At some point, when you feel confident applying the new tools and strategies and you are managing challenges with more ease, we drop our visits down to twice a month.
Some people will continue to drop down to once a month, and then terminate, or take long pauses, while others might prefer to stay in therapy regularly for longer periods for support and accountability.
However, the pace and length of therapy is always up to you.

I am seeking new clients who are eager to take action and create meaningful change. I work best with individuals who are willing to put in the effort outside of our sessions and actively engage during our time together. If this sounds like you and you are committed to making a positive transformation, take the first step and reach out today.
